Dubai World Cup 2025 boasts a $30 5M prize fund

The 29th edition of the Dubai World Cup, one of the world’s most prestigious horse racing events, took a major step forward as the official draw was conducted on Wednesday.

The event, held at the Meydan Racecourse, determined the all-important starting positions for the $12 million main race, featuring 11 elite horses. Among the standout draws, UAE-trained Imperial Emperor landed Gate 10, while stablemate Walk of Stars secured Gate 1, setting up an intriguing tactical battle.

Defending Dubai World Cup champion Ushba Tesoro, the Japanese racing sensation, was assigned Gate 4, fueling anticipation for a potential back-to-back victory. The total prize pool across nine races stands at an impressive $30.5 million, further cementing Dubai’s status as a hub for high-stakes international racing.
