Pakistan Women’s Cricket Gears Up for World Cup Qualifiers!

In a strategic move to bolster their performance for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has initiated a comprehensive 27-day training camp for the national women’s cricket team. The camp commenced on February 2, 2025, at the Inzamam-ul-Haq High Performance Centre in Multan, with players and support staff having assembled a day prior.

The training camp is meticulously designed to enhance the players’ physical fitness, refine their cricketing skills, and foster team cohesion. Throughout February, the 31 invited players, including 16 centrally contracted athletes, will engage in:

Under the guidance of head coach Mohammad Wasim, a former Test cricketer who assumed the role in July 2024, the team will utilize the state-of-the-art amenities at the Inzamam-ul-Haq High Performance Centre. These facilities include advanced training equipment, modern coaching technologies, and comprehensive support services, all aimed at providing an optimal environment for the players’ development.

Pakistan is set to compete in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Qualifiers alongside teams from Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, and the West Indies. The stakes are high, as the finalists of this tournament will secure their spots in the prestigious ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, joining the top six teams from the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25.
